Prasat Hin Phimai. 60 odd km North of Korat is the old Khamer city of Phimai. One of the oldest khamer citys in Thailand. Phimai is a small town,but for sightseers it has a few things to offer. There is the Museum which is not bad i have to say and has stuff from around Issan and Angkor(the capital of the Khamer reichs) There are a few good,but basic hotels in the town and most can be got for around 500bht a night.Myself dont bother as i have a car with me and nightlife is not great,realy everyone goes to bed at 8pm  Prasat is built in the same style as angkor but on a far smaller scale.  But it still amazes me how they ever built such places. There is an entrance fee of 40bht(i think) But you can buy a combi ticket for 100bht that alows you to visit Prasat and other places around Korat.This can only be got at the Museum as far as i know. It realy is a good day out if your willing to travel about,we done it on a trip to Korat,which i think is the best way to do it.   Sai trying to look cool.  Derek

Do they allow you to go into the buildings at all? I was wondering since I don't see any guards around there. Sai looks good.

Yes Peli you can walk about where ever you want,if thats a good thing im not sure,but your free to run about. Funny there was a no smoking sign up Derek
